چکیده

This study aimed to determine the length of estrus period in Aceh cows based on changes characteristics cervical mucus observed using a camera-equipped artificial insemination (AI) endoscope. used twelve healthy and reproductively sound aged 4-6 years. All were synchronized prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) injected intramuscularly twice, 11 days apart. Estrus detection was conducted 24 hours following second injection PGF2α three times daily for 30 minutes, respectively. Estrous then subjected examination their at 0, 6, 12, 18 after beginning estrus. showed that out 12 samples, only eight exhibited signs. Characteristics 0 6 transparent. At estrus, five transparency, remaining cloudy mucus. Meanwhile, all sampled regarded as end That means this 15.75 ± 3.11 hours. It can be concluded determination duration carried an AI endoscope with camera. For further research, it is suggested apply technique implementation pregnancy rate.

Influence of estrus at fixed-time artificial insemination on early embryonic development in beef cattle.

It has been repeatedly demonstrated that estrous expression before fixed-time AI (TAI) results in increased pregnancy success. Therefore, the objective of this experiment was to determine if preblastocyst embryonic developmental characteristics differed from heifers that did or did not exhibit estrus before TAI. Beef heifers (n = 113) were synchronized using the 5-d CO-Synch + controlled intern...

Cervical mucus characteristics and hormonal status at insemination of Holstein cows

The present study was carried out to characterize the cervical mucus (CM) collected when inseminating Holstein cows and to relate the secretion pattern with pregnancy. The mucus was collected from mid-cervix of 64 cows with spontaneus estrus (SE) and induced estrus (IE). The quantity, pattern and consistency of the mucus, pH, arborization patterns and the sperm motility were observed. The level...

Effects of timed artificial insemination following estrus synchronization in postpartum beef cattle

The objectives of this study were to evaluate estrus response and pregnancy rates resulting from timed artificial insemination (AI) following estrus synchronization using CIDR in postpartum beef cattle. A total of 100 cows were randomly divided into three groups. Groups 1, 2 and 3 were artificially inseminated at 48-50 h (n=30), 53-55 h (n=30) and 58-60 h (n=40) after CIDR removal, respectively...

eef cattle producers using artificial insemination in their herds also can synchronize estrus (heat) to breed fertile females rapidly. Synchronizing Estrus in Cattle

Cows not conceiving will return to estrus again beginning about 18 to 25 days after the synchronization period. The females will still be synchronized to a slight degree, which gives a second chance to artificially inseminate each female in the early part of the breeding season. Without synchronization, the herd manager is faced with a 21-day period of continual estrus detection and only one op...

Characteristics of Cervical Mucus for Estrus Detection in Murrah Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis)

The objective of the experiment was to study the changes in different characteristics of cervical mucus of Murrah buffaloes in relation to occurrence of estrus. The Murrah buffaloes maintained at Livestock Research Centre (LRC), ICAR-NDRI, Karnal were classified into three groups viz. heifers, primipara and pluripara. Cervical mucus was collected on the day of estrus prior to the artificial ins...
